Dr. Jayavantha Nayak is Professor and holding the position of Head of the Department, Department of Economics at University College, Mangalore. His doctorate is in the area of Non-Governmental Organizations and Rural Development. He visited Toronto, Canada to present a paper in the International Conference in addition to participation in several national conferences. He has contributed research papers/articles in several research journals of repute. Since 1991, he is involved in teaching economics for Graduate and Post Graduate students of Mangalore University. He has also co-authored more than 17 books in subject economics.
He has awarded fellowship by Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Mangalore during 2013-14. In addition to this he has immensely contributed for Konkani literature. Right now he is serving as coordinator of Konkani Adhyayana Peeta of Mangalore University.
Dr. Jayavantha Nayak did his B.A graduation in S.D.M College Ujire during 1985-88. He completed his post graduation in Department of P.G Studies and Research in Economics at Mangalore University. He is BoS/BoE member of P.G Studies in Economics, Mangalore University. He is also serving as BoS/BoE member of Autonomous institutions affiliated to Mangalore University such as S.D.M College Ujire, St Aloysius College Mangalore, St Agnes College, Mangalore and Roshani Nilaya Mangalore and Vivekananda College, Puttur. He also serving as a chairman of BoE and BoS of Department of P.G Studies in Konkani, Mangalore University. Right now he is guiding eight Ph.D students who are pursuing doctoral studies in Department of P.G Studies and Research in Economics of Mangalore Unversity. Dr. Jayavantha Nayak has specialization in Economics includes Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Public Economics, Environmental economics, financial economics, Managerial Economics, Business economics, Export management Money banking and public finance, Social and Economic Exclusion, Development of Inclusive Policies, Micro and Macroeconomics and Economic thought.
He has been instrumental in organizing many regional, state and national level seminars and conferences. He has also worked as a secretary of Mangalore University Economics Association during 2003-04. Apart from academics, he is involved in career guidance, counseling, and training.

Dr. S.R. Harish Acharya is an eminent co-operator who has been deeply involved in providing strength to the cooperative movement in Karnataka since the last two decades. Dr. Acharya holds Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Shri Narayana Guru College, Mangalore and completed M. Com degree from Alagappa University Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. Dr. Acharya also finished his Doctorate degree titled “Role of Cooperatives in implementation of Gandhian concept of an ideal Village: A Study of Dakshina Kannada District” from Department of Gandhian Studies of Mysore University. He has been associated with various cooperative institutions.

Prof. D. Shivalingaiah has held several important positions in the field of education, including the post of Vice Chancellor at Karnataka State Open University and KSOU, Mysore, Registrar at Tumkur University, and Chairman of the Department of Library and Information Science at Mangalore University. During his tenure as Vice Chancellor at Karnataka State Open University, Dr. Shivalingaiah addressed several serious issues, including the derecognition of all courses by UGC with effect from 2013-14, non-framing of primary Ordinances and Statutes, and other administrative-related issues. He prepared a plan of action to resolve these issues and successfully obtained recognition for several courses by the UGC.
Dr. Shivalingaiah is an experienced academic administrator with a strong track record of implementing effective policies and systems in higher education institutions. He has served in various leadership roles, including Deputy Registrar/Special Officer at Mangalore University, Registrar at Tumkur University, and Vice-Chancellor at Karnataka State Open University. Throughout his career, Dr. Shivalingaiah has been at the forefront of implementing technology-based solutions to improve administrative processes and enhance the learning experience for students. He has introduced innovative reforms such as counseling systems for admission approvals, skill development programs, and computerized administrative procedures. Under his leadership, Tumkur University completed the NAAC re-accreditation process of constituent colleges and accreditation process of the University.
Prof. Shivalingaiah’s commitment to innovation has also led him to introduce new technologies for the evaluation of Ph.D. theses and the maintenance of examination confidentiality. His efforts have resulted in the implementation of tamper-proof and waterproof ‘TRUBIT Technology’ for convocation certificates and the successful reduction of procedural delays in attending to student grievances.
In addition to his technological innovations, Dr. Shivalingaiah has been recognized for his ability to streamline administrative procedures and introduce system-based reforms. He has also been effective in handling RTI applications as a Public Information Officer and has led efforts to introduce Online Examination as the Chairman of the Committee.
Dr. Shivalingaiah’s contribution to academia has been extensive, including the successful implementation of PhD Regulations as per UGC standards, the creation of academic and administrative support services, and the introduction of innovative curriculum design and development. He has also initiated several skill development programs under the Modular Employability Skills Programme of Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Govt. of India. He has served in several important positions in Mangalore University, including the Coordinator of the UGC NET Examination, Chairman of the University Profile Committee, and Chairman of the Internal Sports Advisory Committee. He has also been a member of various committees and councils of Mangalore University, as well as other universities in Karnataka.
Dr. Shivalingaiah has also been actively involved in professional and academic bodies, including the Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science, Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centers, and Karnataka Library Association. He has chaired several boards of examinations and studies of different universities and has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Rashtriya Gaurav Award and the Best Citizens of India Award.
He has successfully guided six Ph.D. students and currently supervising two ongoing Ph.D. researches and one M.Phil. research. He has also authored one book, published 70 research papers, and edited 46 books, and served as an editor-in-chief for five publications. Dr. Shivalingaiah has organized and participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops. In addition to his contributions to academia, Dr. Shivalingaiah has also traveled to several foreign countries, including Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Dubai, where he has shared his expertise and knowledge with scholars and researchers from different parts of the world.

Prof. K. Shivachithappa is an economics professor at the University of Mysore’s postgraduate center. He has an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Economics, with a specialization in “Economic Empowerment of Weaker Sections Through Commercial Banks Credit – With Special Reference to Mandya District.” He has 23 years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level and 11 years of research experience. He has served as Registrar at Tumkur University and has also served as a Coordinator at the Directorate of Research, University of Mysore, and as a Special Officer at the Ph.D. Section, Examination Branch, University of Mysore.
Dr. K. Shivachithappa has a strong research and analytical skills, administrative and coordination skills, and has participated in various academic conferences, workshops, and seminars. He has published several research articles and books on related topics such as microfinance, poverty alleviation programs, and rural credit cooperative societies. Dr.K. Shivachithappa has also shouldered several responsibilities at the University of Mysore and served as a member of the State Planning Board, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore.
Dr.K. Shivachithappa has an extensive academic and research background in the field of economics. Some of his notable achievements include delivering a keynote address and a special lecture at international and national events, respectively, and visiting universities in Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Singapore. He has authored several economics-related books in Kannada, published by various publishers. He has also shouldered several responsibilities at the University of Mysore, including membership in academic bodies and serving as the chairman and member of the Board of Examiners at the postgraduate level. He has also worked as In-charge Director of the PG Centre at Mandya.
His research has been recognized with awards from institutions such as Acharya Nagarjuna University, University of Ruhuna, and Lincoln University.

Dr. Dayananda Naik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Mangalore University in Mangalagangothri, India. He has over 29 years of professional teaching experience and has guided several students in their research at the M. Phil and Ph.D. level Dr. Naik holds a degree in Political Science from Mangalore University and a Ph.D. in Dalit Movement in Dakshina Kannada and Mysore Districts –A Comparative Analysis from the same university. He has also completed a Post-Graduation Diploma in Human Rights from the Indian Institute of Human Rights in New Delhi. He has delivered lectures on various topics such as the importance of youth Parliament, mental health, and career guidance. Additionally, he has been a coordinator for several events, including the National Youth Parliament Competition.
Dr. Dayanand Naik is a recipient of several awards and recognitions for dedication to his profession. He was awarded the Runner-up National Award at the Youth Parliament in 2006 and the Life Achievement National Award by Dr. Abdul Kalam. He was also conferred with the Rashtriya Gaurava Award at the National Seminar on Economic Growth and National Integration held in New Delhi in 2014. In addition, he was also awarded the Best NSS Programme Officer State Award.
Dr. Naik holds several memberships in professional bodies related to his field of expertise. He is a member of the Board of Studies (B. O. Dr. Mohan S. Singhe is an experienced and skilled Assistant Professor in the field of Social Work. With over 17 years of teaching experience, he holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil), and a Doctorate in, Socio-Economic Study, Need Assessment & CSR Plan for the Proposed Expansion of the UPCL.
Dr. Singhe’s research interests include Family & Child Welfare, Medical & Psychiatry Child disability, Health, and Adolescent, making him an expert in these areas. Dr. Singhe has participated in several training workshops related to HIV/AIDS counseling, including capacity-building workshops on preventive, pre- and post-test counseling, emerging issues in HIV/AIDS counseling, and supportive supervision team consultative meetings on HIV/AIDS counseling. He has also organized training
programs for VCTC/PPTCT teams, including a four-day team-building workshop on ART and infant feeding counseling.

Dr. Rohinaksha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Folkloristics and Tribal Studies at the School of Social Science and Behavioral Science, Central University of Karnataka. he holds an educational background, which includes a B.A and M.A from Mangalore University, an M.Phil from Kannada University, and a Ph.D from Kannada University. In addition, Dr. Rohinaksha has qualified the National Eligibility Test (N.E.T) conducted by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. He has been working as an Assistant Professor since June 2007, starting his career at Vivekananda College and currently working at Central University of Karnataka since November 2019.
Dr. Rohinaksha has completed one UGC Minor Research project in 2018, and has also worked as a consultant on a project titled “Covid 19: A Study of the socio-cultural consequences of the discontinued cultural practices” funded by The Mythic Society, Bangalore. As a multi-talented professional with expertise in Kannada literature, history, and culture, he is a researcher, editor, and writer who has published several books and research articles in his field. Dr. Rohinaksha is also a regular contributor to the Vidyarthi Patha monthly journal published by VSK Trust in Bangalore. As a researcher, Dr. Rohinaksha has authored several research papers on topics such as modern Kannada literature, the educational philosophy of Swami Vivekananda, Shri Narayana Guru, and the role of missionaries in Kannada literature. he has also conducted research on the impact of COVID-19 on education and the cultural significance of folk traditions in South India.
Dr. Rohinaksha has received several fellowships and academic honors in recognition of her contributions to the field of Kannada literature and culture. He was awarded the Kuvempu Senior Fellowship by Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Pradhikara in April 2021 and the Rashtrotthana Fellowship by Rashtrotthana Sahithya Parishath. He has also received the Vaagdevi Award for Young Writer from Akhila Bharateeya Sahitya Parishath and the Da.Ra. Bendre Grantha Puraskar for Best Book award.
He is an active member of several professional organizations such as the Folklore Society of South Indian Languages, Karnataka Sahitya Academy, and Center for Educational and Social Studies (CESS). Dr. Chandrashekara has presented over 60 research articles at various international, national, state, and university level seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Dr. Chandrashekara has worked as an NSS Officer for 6 years and has organized six ten-day village camps and two state-level cultural festival camps. He has also served as the District co-ordinator of Rastriya Uchatha Shiksha Abhiyana (RUSA), a special plan of MHRD Central Govt., and worked as a project coordinator of community college of Govt. Colleges.
Additionally, he has worked as a coordinator of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) of Dakshina Kannada and as a PO in various Election duties. He also served as the Coordinator of IQAC and NAAC of the college to secure Grade ‘A’ in the first cycle from NAAC.
Dr. Chandrashekara is a life member of various professional associations, including the Mangalore Management Association (MMA), Forum of Business Management Teachers (FOBMAT) of Mangalore University, Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association (MUCTA), Association of Mangalore University Commerce Alumni (AMCA), and Karnataka Govt. College Teachers Association (KGCTA).
He has also held several leadership positions in FOBMAT, including treasurer and secretary, and served as the President of FOBMAT of Mangalore University.

Dr. Sheshappa K is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Dr. P. Dayananda Pai P Sathish Pai Govt. First Grade College Carstreet Mangalore. He has been working in the education sector for 23 years, with 15 years of experience as a Government employee. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Kuvempu University, an MA in Sociology and a BA in History, Economics, and Sociology from Mangalore University. He is specialized in community studies, the study of Indian Society, and research methodology.
Dr. Sheshappa K is a sociologist and academician who has actively participated in various events and seminars, conferences, workshops, and training programs related to social reforms, sustainable rural development, and urban development. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Mysore and has extensive experience in teaching and research.
Dr. Sheshappa has presented several papers in national and international seminars on various topics such as the impact of demonetization in India, the role of civil society organizations in social transformation, social justice and the constitution in India, urban development and smart city projects, challenges and prospects of sociology, religious and social reforms of Sri Narayana Guru, and the impact of Sri Narayana Guru Movement on Billava Women in Coastal Karnataka.
Apart from being a prolific researcher, Dr. Sheshappa has also been actively involved in social and educational programs. He has been a resource person in various programs and seminars related to social reforms, career guidance, and cleanliness. He has delivered lectures on “Youth and NSS” and conducted a one-day workshop on “Swachcha Manas Cleanliness Drive.”
Dr. Sheshappa’s academic and research interests include social reforms, sustainable development, rural development, urbanization, and social justice. He is known for his insightful analysis and research work in these areas and is highly respected in academic circles.
