Cooperatives are considered to be the way to carry forward all sectors of the society towards their collective aim. ISDC attempts to bring together the weaker as well as the unreached sector of the society under one roof called the Cooperation. With this in mind ISDC, under Apta Spandana, concentrates on involving the people of weaker sections and unreached sector of the society in Cooperative activities and thereby encouraging them to contribute towards the wellbeing of their community and society at large.
On the one hand the weaker sector includes socially and economically backward classes, women, tribals, daily wage workers, other labour class population, etc. and on the other hand the unreached sector includes the professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Advocates, etc where the concept of Cooperation is widely untouched. ISDC through Apta Spandana, with the tool of Cooperation, attempts to unify these two sectors which may not be directly connected in the normal context.
Objectives of Apta Spandana :
- To establish Cooperative organisations in the unreached sectors of the society and thereby involving them in the Cooperative Movement.
- To work towards the upliftment of the weaker Sector.
- To give assistance to improve the standard of living of the Weaker Sector.
- To promote weaker and unreached sector’s unified participation in Cooperative movement programmes.
