Dr. Rohinaksha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Folkloristics and Tribal Studies at the School of Social Science and Behavioral Science, Central University of Karnataka. he holds an educational background, which includes a B.A and M.A from Mangalore University, an M.Phil from Kannada University, and a Ph.D from Kannada University. In addition, Dr. Rohinaksha has qualified the National Eligibility Test (N.E.T) conducted by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. He has been working as an Assistant Professor since June 2007, starting his career at Vivekananda College and currently working at Central University of Karnataka since November 2019.

Dr. Rohinaksha has completed one UGC Minor Research project in 2018, and has also worked as a consultant on a project titled “Covid 19: A Study of the socio-cultural consequences of the discontinued cultural practices” funded by The Mythic Society, Bangalore. As a multi-talented professional with expertise in Kannada literature, history, and culture, he is a researcher, editor, and writer who has published several books and research articles in his field. Dr. Rohinaksha is also a regular contributor to the Vidyarthi Patha monthly journal published by VSK Trust in Bangalore. As a researcher, Dr. Rohinaksha has authored several research papers on topics such as modern Kannada literature, the educational philosophy of Swami Vivekananda, Shri Narayana Guru, and the role of missionaries in Kannada literature. he has also conducted research on the impact of COVID-19 on education and the cultural significance of folk traditions in South India.

Dr. Rohinaksha has received several fellowships and academic honors in recognition of her contributions to the field of Kannada literature and culture. He was awarded the Kuvempu Senior Fellowship by Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Pradhikara in April 2021 and the Rashtrotthana Fellowship by Rashtrotthana Sahithya Parishath. He has also received the Vaagdevi Award for Young Writer from Akhila Bharateeya Sahitya Parishath and the Da.Ra. Bendre Grantha Puraskar for Best Book award.

He is an active member of several professional organizations such as the Folklore Society of South Indian Languages, Karnataka Sahitya Academy, and Center for Educational and Social Studies (CESS). He also serves on various committees related to her field, such as the Manuscript Review Committee for Prasaranga at Mangalore University. He is a highly accomplished professional in the field of Kannada literature, history, and culture, and his contributions have had a significant impact on the field.
